TEAM CHALLENGE TRIVIA CHALLENGE
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
1. The TEAM CHALLENGE TRIVIA CHALLENGE ("Contest") begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on Sunday, June 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on Sunday, June 29, 2008 ("Contest Period"). During the Contest Period, all eligible entrants who register as or upgrade to a VIP ProCoach will be entered into a skill-based sports trivia contest to win one of 25 prizes, including four available Grand Prizes to be the Honorary Team Captain of one of the sports teams participating in the Team Challenge during 2009 and 4 “You Pick Tix” where the Runner-ups at the Team level receive an all expense paid weekend and 2 regular season game tickets to the sport of the registered VIP ProCoach described in Section Four (4) of these Official Rules. The sponsor of this Contest is Team Challenge, LLC, 5 Cooper Street, Burlington, NJ 08016 ("Sponsor").
2. ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, DC, who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their state of primary residence at the time of entry ("Entrant"). Entrant must have internet access as of June 1, 2008. Each Entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the Entrant's entry. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the natural person in whose name the e-mail account associated with the provided e-mail address was opened. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of Sponsor (collectively, "Contest Entities") and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, agents, representatives and promotion and advertising agencies, together with the immediate family members and those living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Contest void where prohibited.
3. HOW TO ENTER: Entrants must be registered as a VIP ProCoach. Entrants may participate in the Contest by logging on to the Contest page located at teamchallenge.com ("Contest Homepage") and following the on-screen instructions to completely and accurately provide all of the requested registration information. Once registered, the Entrant will receive one (1) Contest entry into the Contest. Limit of one (1) entry per person or e-mail address for the duration of the Contest. If entries exceed these limits, then only the most recent entry submitted by the same person or with the same e-mail address will be eligible in the random drawing. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. All information provided by entrants becomes the property of Sponsor. ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS MUST SUBMIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES. NO OTHER METHOD OF SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED. Participation in the Contest constitutes Entrant's understanding of and full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant that Sponsor determines to be in violation of any term contained in these Official Rules. Sponsor's decision not to enforce a specific provision of these Official Rules does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of the Official Rules generally. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
4. CONTEST RULES: The contest is based on skill. Each day the Entrant will receive a link by email which entitles Entrant to access 25 randomly provided multiple choice sports trivia questions. Entrant shall answer correctly as many questions as possible and submit answers to Sponsor as provided in the instructions. Each Entrant will get a score and a time stamp which will log the time from accessing the link to the time answers are received by the Sponsor’s server. The answers will be scored by Sponsor and Entrants will be ranked based on the accuracy of their answers. Ties are broken by the length of time the Entrant is logged on to provide answers. Each Entrant may try up to a total of 5 times. Only the best score of Entrant will be retained. The link can be accessed by Entrant only once per day except for the last day of the contest when any unused tries may be used. Since the questions are random, questions may repeat.
5. PRIZES: Grand Prize (4) Four Grand Prize Winners "(Winner") will be selected to receive: one (1) 4 day/3night trip for two (2) to the host resort of the 2009 Pro Sports Team Challenge to serve as the Honorary team Captain of your selected sport and a spot for 1 to play in the Pro-Am. The highest scores at the Team level will determine the prize Winners. The trip will consist of the following: (a.) round-trip coach air transportation for two (2); (b.) room accommodations for 3 nights (1 room, double occupancy), (c) ground transportation from airport to hotel. ARV of each Grand Prize: $10,000.
Runner-Up (4) – The second highest Contest score at the team level is eligible to receive an all expense trip for two to a city in the continental US selected by Winner which will include 2 tickets to a regular season game in such city (date and city will be subject to mutual consent of winner and Sponsor). The trip will consist of the following: (a.) round-trip coach air transportation for two (2); (b.) room accommodations for 2 nights (1 room, double occupancy), (c) ground transportation from airport to hotel. ARV of each Grand Prize: $1,500.
Consolation Prizes – The top 25 scores of Entrants will be entitled to receive gifts certificates form Sponsor’s partners for $100 each for the top 10, and $50 each for the next 15. Grand Prize and Runner-up count in determining the winners but are not eligible for consolation prizes.
There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. Actual Prizes value depends on winner's place of residence and cost and availability of airfare and hotel at time of booking and travel and may be substantially higher or lower than estimated value. Trip dates will be specified by the Sponsor. The winner will be given a minimum of 10 days notice prior to the departure date. Trip must be taken on the dates specified by the Sponsor and failure to travel during the specified times will result in forfeiture of the prize. If a winner lives within 200 miles of the host resort, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute ground transportation for airfare, in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to change travel dates and to substitute any or all of these portions of the prize for a prize of comparable or greater value should they become unavailable or impractical for any reason. The time spent at the event has no associated cash value and in the event of cancellation due to events beyond the Sponsor's control, no cash equivalent will be offered for this portion of the prize. Guests of the Winner must be at least 18 years of age and not a minor in his/her state of residence. Winners will be responsible for any and all federal, state and/or local taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize. Prize winners cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person. No prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsors. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value will be awarded; provided, however, that if prizes are awarded but unclaimed/forfeited by recipient, prize may not be re-awarded, in Sponsors' sole discretion. Other restrictions may apply. Limit one prize per household.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One Winner each will be selected in a random drawing from each of the four Team’s registered pool of ProCoaches conducted by the Sponsor from among all eligible entries received, on or about July 21, 2008. The potential winner will be notified by telephone, email and/or overnight mail within approximately five (5) days of the aforementioned drawing date. The potential winner must be able to receive telephone calls from an unlisted and/or blocked number. Messages may not be left. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone not fully complying with the Official Rules. Winner will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification within 72 hours of first attempted notification. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor will randomly select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. Winners may be required to verify address and return within seven (7) days an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release covering eligibility, liability, advertising, publicity and media appearance issues, unless prohibited by law. Failure of any winner to return the executed affidavit and release forms within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries for that prize. A prize will not be awarded until all such properly executed forms are returned. Travel companion of grand prize winner must be 18 years of age or older and not a minor in his/her state of residence at the time of travel departure. Travel companions will be required to verify address and to execute before a notary public an affidavit of eligibility and, if permitted by law, liability/publicity release as directed prior to the travel departure date. Failure to return the executed travel companions affidavit and release forms within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize. Both the Winner and the travel companion must agree to a complete background check and Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend the portion of the prize that includes interaction with Team Challenge players in the event of a felony act, dangerous or threatening behavior revealed in the background check.
6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION/RELEASES: Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects. By participating in this Contest and/or by accepting any prize that they may win, each entrant agrees to release the Sponsor; each of its respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, units and divisions and advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers; each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees; and each of these companies and individuals' respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Each entrant authorizes the Released Parties to use his/her name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (v) any printing, typographical, human administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest (or any portion of the Contest) should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other cause or problem corrupt or inhibit the administration, security or proper play of the Contest and, in such situation, to select the winner(s) from eligible non-suspect entries received prior to and/or after such action or in such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by the Sponsor. Sponsor may prohibit you from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or Sponsor's representatives. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
7. WINNERS/OFFICIAL RULES: To obtain a copy of the Winners list or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Sponsor. Requests for the names of the winners must be received no later September 1, 2008. Vermont residents may omit return postage.
